How do I post a comment?

You must have Registered and be Logged In to post a comment. When Logged In click on the title of the topic you wish to comment on, either in the main page content, in the right column by searching the ‘BLOG ARCHIVE’ or if the relevant topic is one of the latest five topics, it will be listed under 'RECENT TOPICS'.

Once you’ve accessed the relevant topic, a comment field / box appears at the end of the article (see below). Simply type in your comments and submit. Your contribution should appear immediately.

(In the example below JoeBlogger28 has posted a comment that is already published. The current logged in contributor is Romeo&Juliet whose comment will appear immediately below the post submitted by JoeBlogger28 once submitted)

Tick 'Notify me of follow-up comments via email' to receive alerts about subsequent posts.

Why hasn’t my comment appeared?

The ITIC Blog is built so that comments should appear immediately once a comment is submitted. If your comments have not appeared, possible reasons include:

  1. You weren’t Logged In when you submitted.
  2. There may have been a technical issue with our Blog when you submitted. Please try again and / or let us know you have experienced a problem.
  3. You used a key word that has triggered the Blog spam filter and/or you over used punctuation. See below for details.

NOTE - A spam filter operates on our Blog in order to prevent automated programs from flooding the system with spam.

As a result, the use of inappropriate language/words and/or the over use of punctuation marks e.g. (???!!!! ;-)) etc. will trigger such posts to be sent to a ‘Spam’ folder where they will have to be checked and cleared by ITIC in order to appear. To avoid this we recommend keeping your comments clean, concise and straight forward which will result in them appearing immediately when posted.
