CTTC - Member Profile

The Coach Tourism & Transport Council of Ireland (CTTC) is the representative body for independent Coach Operators who are dedicated to providing first class passenger transport to domestic and overseas visitors.

Membership is restricted to coach companies who meet the strict standards criteria agreed between the CTTC and Failte Ireland. The CTTC operates the Coach Approvals and Star Classification under licence from Failte Ireland.

The Association operates in cooperation with all the relevant Government Departments and State Agencies to enhance the overall standard of coach transport offered to the consumer.

The objectives of the CTTC are to:

  • Represent member’s interests at all appropriate levels to external bodies.
  • Agree a code of minimum standards with Failte Ireland.
  • Maintain and improve, where possible, high standards of customer service.
  • Ensure the viability of its members and to promote their greater profitability.
  • Speak for the industry as a single, fully representative and strong voice in all matters which affect the future of the sector.
  • Plan, devise and run relevant training courses.


    Gerry Mullins is Chief Executive of the Coach Tourism & Transport Council and is a member of the ITIC Council.
