Jameson Visitor Centres - Member Profile

The Old Jameson Distillery, Smithfield, Dublin and The Jameson Experience at the Old Distillery, Midleton, Co. Cork welcome over 350,000 visitors annually over 90 % of whom are from overseas.

The guided tour brings visitors through the full process of whiskey making, culminating in the Tasting bar for a complimentary glass of Jameson.

After ten years in operation and two million visitors through its’ doors, the Old Jameson Distillery, in Dublin underwent a €5 million make–over in early 2007. This investment has truly brought the visitor centre into the 21st century, with the introduction of touch screen inter-active technology throughout. It is planned to introduce similar inter-active technology in Midleton before the end of 2007.

Visitors can now view – through glass tiles – the brick ruins that once supported the large Fermentation Vessels. Lit up by night, this area evokes a great atmosphere for evening receptions.

The Banqueting Area has now increased capacity for 200. The “Sine Metu” suite can be reserved for an exclusive Shindig for parties from 100 to 200 persons.
