Center Parcs in Longford; biggest ever tourism investment in Irish Midlands

Center Parcs are due to open their first village in Ireland in summer 2019. The 400 acre forest site with 500 lodges – to be based in Ballymahon, Co. Longford – will be transformative for tourism in Ireland’s Midlands and will employ 1,000 permanent jobs once open. The €233 million commitment by Center Parcs is the biggest ever tourism investment in the region and, as a leader in the short break holiday market with a remarkably high occupancy rate, Center Parcs now plan to continue their success in Ireland.

The Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC) met with Martin Dalby, Chief Executive of Center Parcs UK, to hear more about his exciting plans for Ireland.
