IHF President Michael Lennon discusses tourism’s opportunities and challenges

Earlier this year Michael Lennon was elected the 37th President of the Irish Hotels Federation, representing over 800 hotels and 200 guesthouses. A 5th generation hotelier himself Michael has clear views on the future of Irish tourism in the coming years.

The Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC) recently caught up with Michael to discuss the importance of the tourism Vat rate, the need for more hotel capacity in Dublin, the benefits of a Minister dedicated solely to Tourism, and how to continue improving the perception of tourism and hospitality as a career.
