Increased growth expected from North America in 2017

The North American market has been a star performer for Ireland in recent years and is currently at record levels in terms of tourism volume and value.

Americans and Canadians stay longer and spend more, and are hugely important to Irish tourism.  Increased air capacity, including the new Aer Lingus Dublin-Miami route, has been confirmed for next year so can the Irish tourism industry expect further growth in 2017?

ITIC recently met with Alison Metcalfe, Head of North America for Tourism Ireland, to hear her views on why this year has been so successful and what next year might bring.
