Fine Gael have published a large document called PUTTING TOURISM AT THE CENTRE OF ECONOMIC RECOVERY.
Launched by party leader Enda Kenny and tourism spokesman Jimmy Deenihan, the document says that "Fine Gael will prioritise tourism and place it at the very heart of economic regeneration policies by providing leadership, clear direction and a joined up approach designed to overcome the highly fragmented nature of the industry."
If elected they also promise "to create a Tourism House or one-stop shop that will assist and drive the industry by bringing Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland under one roof."
There is more, much much more, and it is deserving of our closest scrutiny, after all, the future the document addresses is OUR future.
CLICK HERE to access the full publication, and when you have read it, let us have your comments, so we can engage the party in establishing the right priorities for the future of tourism.
As they become available, we will also send you the other parties tourism plans and ask for your evaluation.
