466,000 German visitors came to Ireland in 2013, a record number. But that record is set to be shattered in 2014 when Ireland will have welcomed well over half a million.
With a population of 81 million, generating over 90 million visits abroad, and spending over E70 billion, Germany is the 3rd largest source market in the world. And coincidentally, it’s Ireland’s 3rd largest source market too, after Britain and the United States.
To sound out the potential for growth into the future, ITIC spoke with Zoe Redmond, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Central Europe.
