As an island nation air access is fundamentally important to the Irish economy. The Covid pandemic, and the Irish Government’s response to it, has led to a shattering fall in aviation and massively impacted Ireland’s tourism industry.

ITIC recently caught up with the man in charge of Dublin and Cork airports – Dalton Philips of daa – to hear how pre-travel testing could safely reopen the airways, the importance of ongoing investment, and how Government needs to urgently implement the recommendations from its own Aviation Recovery Taskforce.
