Year End Review 2015 & Outlook for 2016

The Irish Tourist Industry Confederation (ITIC) is pleased to present our Year End Review 2015 & Outlook for 2016.

2015 has proved to be a remarkable year for Irish tourism. The Irish tourism industry is now worth €7.3 billion in a record year that has seen over 8 million international visitors coming to our shores.

This is testament to the quality and competitiveness of the Irish tourism industry as well as the fact that a number of external factors have been in our favour. Tourism now employs 224,000 people throughout the country and has been at the forefront of Ireland’s economic recovery.

There are positive signs of continued growth for 2016 although some challenges are apparent.
