Ireland’s EU Presidency: A Moment for Tourism

Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union gives the country something every tourism destination competes hard to secure – attention. It is obviously a politically significant time for the Government, but it also gives Ireland an extraordinary opportunity to tell its story to a European audience at close range. Tourism should be central to that, not only as part of how Ireland presents itself to Europe, but as part of the policy conversations Ireland helps shape during the Presidency.
