Industry leaders call for the restoration of 9% VAT rate for food services sector and increased spending on tourism in a budget submission that focuses for competitiveness, connectivity and investment.
Tourism – Ireland's largest indigenous industry

Behind the Data: A dive into annual Irish tourism statistics

In February the CSO published inbound tourism statistics for 2024.
This is the first time, due to methodological changes, that there is a direct annual comparison with the previous year.
The Irish Tourism Industry Confederation have studied the data and this bulletin outlines some of the key findings and interpretations.
